Brian
Carbin
VFX Artist
Brian is a
native New Yorker. In the mid-nineties he was busy surfing off Long
Island and working in the MTV International department in Manhattan.
Without a doubt, his favourite moments, not spent in the ocean,
were in the MTV edit suites. When he was enticed across the Atlantic
to try life in the big smoke, he knew that he wanted to work in
post production and joined Rushes as a runner.
Brian worked his way up to VFX Artist, operating Fire, with stops
along the way as head runner, VT Op and VFX Assistant. He’s
been with the company for seven years and describes himself as a
Rushes “lifer”. Brian’s enthusiasm for effects
work continues to grow and he has worked on some challenging projects.
He spends his spare time watching endless TV and Films (rewinding
the ads to watch them again, despite having Tivo!) and helping raise
his baby daughter.
