Derek
Moore
Visual Effects Artist
Derek gained his first taste of the industry running
on music video shoots in his school holidays, liking it so much
he decided to go to TV college. On graduating from Ravensbourne,
he was approached by MPC who offered him a job as an edit assistant.
During 7 years there he worked his way up to Senior Editor, moving
between the online suites and Henry. When the 7-year itch finally
got to him he took up a position as Senior Effects Artist at VTR,
where he lead the Henry team, and moved onto Inferno. After four
years the chance to join Rushes in 1999 proved too great a temptation,
so he uprooted and travelled 50 yards round the corner. Derek particularly
enjoys tackling larger projects, and likes to work across all of
Rushes' VFX suites, including Inferno, Flame and Fire.
