Duncan
Malcolm
Visual Effects Artist
Duncan began
his career as a trainee camera assistant at a small production company,
moving on to work in a further two production facilities in Scotland
where he learnt off-line and effects editing. From Scotland, Duncan
moved to London and then Denmark where he freelanced, before returning
to London to work at Triangle Television as their creative director.
Duncan joined
Rushes in May 2002 and we are very proud to have such a gifted (not
to mention workaholic!) effects artist as part of our VFX team.
He is absolutely passionate about what he does and is fully conversant
with all effects software, operating on any kit to achieve the effect
required. As well as already having completed several high profile
jobs, Duncan has been training Rushes’ assistants and sharing
his diverse and wide-ranging knowledge of all areas of effects.
As you would
expect of a multi-capable artist, Duncan enjoys every aspect of
his work, especially building good working relationships with directors
and attracting excellent work.
