Director Vicky Lawton creates edgy spot to raise awareness of Restore the Music’s mission to bolster music education in schools. The dynamic film was graded by Rushes Simona Cristea.
Music has the power to soothe the soul, but it can also be educational and allow for self-expression, especially among young people.
Rankin agency The Full Service lent its creative prowess to new music charity, Restore the Music (RTM), which gives grants to schools to strengthen their music departments.
Director Vicky Lawton explores the relationship between music and art in a minute-and-a-half-long spot, that uses contrasting audios and visuals to show the significance of music and raise awareness for the charity.
By juxtaposing silence with noise, colour with black and white, Lawton’s spot successfully demonstrates all that the charity has accomplished.
RTM belives that “Music is a right and not a priviledge” and has so far awarded over £600,000 to 20 London schools in London to provide them with the resources and tuition to put music back on the curriculum.
With grants ranging between £10,000 and £20,000, RTM has done a good job at kick-starting the movement, motivated by the power of music.
