Rushes MGFX studio breathe life into the title logo for Jamie Bamber & Jodie Whittaker's exciting new firefighter drama The Smoke.

Written by Lucy Kirkwood (Skins), the eight-part series follows the high-adrenaline adventures of White Watch, a team of London firefighters.
Rushes MGFX Studio were approached to breathe life into their existing title logo. Lead designer Matt Lawrence wanted to give the title a real world feel and so went about shooting elements and laying in shot smoke, sparks and fire textures to create a totally analogue title card.
Matt comments, "I wanted to realise the logo reveal without using any digital effects or plugins, this way it would have a real world organic feel. Using a combination of shot plates and physically printed ink textures I was able to achieve this effect which complemented the gritty nature of the series perfectly".
