Samsung launch their new ‘Companion Stories’ campaign, a series of short films focused on the personal stories of inspirational individuals. Directed by Annex Films' John X. Carey and shot from LA to Singapore via agency Jam, the short films focus on the most important relationships in peoples' lives.
The first sees Richy Carrasco, “The 360 King”, an old-school skateboarding legend, world record holder and all round nice guy based in LA, talking about his experiences. He tells his life story of having it all, then losing everything and rising back to fame.
In the second short film of the Companion Stories video series we meet Grandma Mary. 77 years old and still playing blues guitar, she's entertaining her family and bringing joy to millions online.
The films were graded at Rushes by Simona Harrison with online completed by Leo Weston.
The campaign is to be housed on YouTube as well as a special tab on the Samsung Mobile Facebook page, which will also feature additional facts, back-story and behind-the-scenes elements. Additional content will live on Twitter and Instagram. Viewers will be encouraged to tweet their own stories using #companionstories and the final Companion Story in the campaign is to be sourced from the community.
