Alasdair McLellan photographed and shot the stills and web film for the latest campaign for French fashion brand Morgan de Toi.
Staged in the café Rouquet in Paris’s Saint-Germain district, that was the setting for so many of those atmospheric new wave films 50 years ago, Alasdair shot on Arri Alexa with the film built around the narrative of a boy on a motorbike seeing a beautiful girl (Romanian model Andrea Diaconu) in a café and deciding to do something about the chance exchange of glances. Rushes Denny Cooper graded re-creating a Nouvelle Vague feel using Resolve. VFX artist Emir Hasham undertook clean up, beauty and conversion of day to night shots graded by Denny Cooper.
