Rushes CG team were commissioned by Partizan and Euro RSCG to create three full CG commercials for the iconic brand Finish.
Rushes CG team were commissioned by Partizan and Euro RSCG to create three full CG commercials for the iconic brand Finish.
Director Matthias Hoene briefed the Rushes team with his vision for the Finish world: a bewitching, beautiful, fairytale place of magical orchards, alluring countryside villages, intriguing valleys and mysterious forests where Finish tablets float in the air, fireworks explode into sparkling diamonds, mountains are formed like kitchen utensils and houses are built like cheesegraters. Next it was time for a Finish first – creating a hero character, in this case a hard-working, bustling little dishwasher struggling to deliver load after load of clean dishes.
Rushes Head of CG Commercials Andy Hargreaves, “These are three really exciting and individual commercials, each of which presents its own unique challenges. Common to all three was designing, creating and populating each of the different environments to make them feel rich, interesting and most importantly warm and inviting. A large amount of time was spent at the concept stage designing layouts, characters, props and getting a feel for mood and lighting before a team of modellers and texture artists began the task of building everything from the biggest mountains down to the diamond shaped cat's eyes in the road. It's this attention to detail that gives the commercials their individual charm and character and really brings each one to life.”
The adverts’ world is coloured with dark blue and magenta hues, representative of the Finish brand, which were accentuated by Rushes’ colourist Simone Grattarola in Resolve.
