Charlotte OC has been on the receiving end of rather a lot of praise for her dark, emotive sound and rousing vocals. Matching the intensity in Charlotte’s music, director Vicky Lawton takes the reigns for ‘On and On’ from Charlotte’s Burning EP. Vicky comments, “This is a beautiful, haunting track – and I wanted to match it with equally mesmerising visuals. Bringing together elements of nature, a raw aesthetic, little creatures and ghostly lighting, I wanted Charlotte to bring something vulnerable and emotional to her performance, and I think that we’ve captured that.”

Speaking with Word is Cheap, Vicky further discusses the video, “I think there’s an expectation with a beautiful artist that the video she makes should be sexy, with this video there’s no denying that Charlotte looks gorgeous – but it’s a dangerous beauty, edgy – unpredictable and to me that’s more sexy and provocative than just baring flesh. I think a strong performance and conviction in the message has so much power, especially with this track – it’s emotional – and the way she moves and delivers each line is mesmerising. I just wanted to capture that honestly.”
