Rushes MGFX Studio’s "Artifical Agent" is launched to prize winning acclaim.
Shot using uber-tech toy of the moment the Phantom video drone, the film has been awarded the Grand Prize Winner in DJI Innovations Phantom Video Competition.
To quote DJI; "Artificial Agent has a highly Creative Concept, narrative, and pro execution. We want to see more!"
Following on from Sand Rushes, Matt Lawrence and his team headed back down to the Gower Peninsula where we find sun, sand, sea and er … a giant robot with its own squadron of laser equipped phantoms!
Land Artist Martin McKinney who consulted on the film comments, "We had a great time coming up with the original concept for this. We wanted a strong narrative, to convey the idea of a future world populated by giant creative robots, with cool hi-tech stealth quad copters, equipped with lasers… oh and large scale land art. Above all the film had to be playful in tone, which it is ….bang on!"
Matt continues, "Originally this film was going to be about the land art we created, and the Phantom was just the tool to get the aerial footage. But once we started filming we realised these quad copters are just so cool to look at, that they had to take a starring role – basically, the kit stays in the picture!"
DJI are the global leaders in developing & manufacturing high performance and easy-to-use small unmanned aerial systems for commercial and recreational use. The Phantom model was perfect for this production giving the team a cost effective way of gaining those priceless aerial shots of the sand art in all its glory before they were erased forever by the ocean.
