The Feeling "Love It When You Call"

16th Oct 2006: Rushes complete post on the striking music video for The Feeling "Love It When You Call", created by Draw Pictures.

Rushes' Telecine Artist Simone Grattarola has completed the post on the striking music video for The Feeling "Love It When You Call’, created by Draw Pictures.

Caswell Coggins from Draw explains, "The concept for the video was based on the brief from the band. They wanted to create something inspired by Martin Scorsese’s 'Casino'. We set about trying to capture some of the qualities of the movie.

Starting with the lighting through to the design and the clothing, we took elements from the film and borrowed others from another Scorsese film "Goodfellas". Rather than attempting to roughly recreate the movie, we set out to have fun with it and capture absolutely the essence of the genre.

Jake Polonsky was the DOP for the job and I think he completely captured the spirit of what we were trying to do, while Simone at Rushes completed the job by giving it the richness that it deserved. I work regularly with Simone and always look forward to what he is going to achieve with the neg.

I thoroughly enjoyed making the video and was backed by an incredibly strong team of professionals, which I’m pleased to say is apparent by the final quality in the pictures."

Simone has just completed works on:

Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly for Flynn directed by Sam Brown

Girls Aloud for Flynn directed by Alex Hemming

Lemar and Alesha for Draw Pictures directed by Ben Rollason and JT respectively.
