Seeing double for new FA viral ...
18th Mar 2009: Rushes have recently completed post on this new viral for The Football Association's 'Respect' campaign starring actor Ray Winstone.
The FA continues its 'Respect’ campaign with this viral highlighting the reasons behind the decline in the public’s involvement with amateur football.
'Two Rays’, written and directed by Theo Delaney, stars Ray Winstone as an over-zealous soccer Dad and as his alter-ego, the voice of reason. As narrator, Winstone notes that the game is losing support due to thoughtless behaviour and confronts 'bad’ soccer Dad Winstone who finds himself alone on the pitch but for his civilized twin.
Adrian Seery, Colourist at Rushes, comments: "The brief was to make it look as filmic as possible and well shot HD footage provided a perfect opportunity to really get our teeth into it to give it that filmic quality. Everyone was really pleased with the results."
Rushes' VFX Artist Dave Kiddie conformed the piece prior to the grade. He then skilfully combined split screen shots of the two Rays to create one seamless scene.
The viral, which uses the tagline ‘Lose respect, lose the game’ aired earlier this week.
