Director and photographer Jacob Sutton from D & V Productions directed and photographed the launch film and stills for the introduction of Stella McCartney's Team GB Olympics and Paralympics 2012 Adidas kits.
The Adidas sportswear was designed by British fashion designer Stella McCartney working with Adidas sportswear technologists to design the Team GB kit to be worn by over 600 athletes, competing across 24 different disciplines.
Stella McCartney recognises that if the team looks great they will perform better. The creative team of Alasdair Willis (Adidas) and Image Director Jonathan Schofield from Stella McCartney, worked with director Jacob Sutton and producers Grace Holbrook and Laura Holmes and VFX artist Omar Akkari at Rushes to create a launch film that utilises graphic overlays teases and then reveals the design of Team GB sportswear. Colourist Denny Cooper graded from an edit by Julian Fletcher, prior to Omar Akarri working up graphic element animations and overlays to tease the reveal and highlight the Adidas technologies employed in the sportswear.
The launch film was used as part of the launch event at The Tower of London on Thursday 22nd March . The team also produced the 55 second viral which introduces the team kit which airs on the internet on Wednesday 22nd March after the event.
