This exciting
adrenalin fuelled promo is the Appleton sisters at their best. Filmed
like a live performance, the girls are seen approaching the stage
at a ‘live gig’ before going on to perform ‘Fantasy’
to the eagerly awaiting crowd in a small, packed club. There are
some great shots of them performing to the crowded venue, and both
girls totally look and act the part of two ‘raunchy rockers’
Their performance is totally removed from their All Saints days,
and an energetic fantastic way to show off their new ‘rock
chick’ image.
“From
the moment we signed that piece of paper saying All Saints was over,
things began to fall into place.” says Nicole Appleton. ‘Fantasy’
is taken from their forthcoming debut album ’Aloud’
“Fantasy is pop with an edge,” adds Natalie, “It
was the first track we recorded and it just felt right to be the
first single.”
Director, Jason Smith says “It was vitally important that
after the All Saints split, the Appleton sisters' first video was
edgy, sexy and took them somewhere as musicians. It also had to
place them in a credible ‘live’ situation that wasn't
poptastic. I think we were able to achieve that and more!"
Rushes Adrenalin
producer, Jonathan Davies adds “Another great video from director
Jason Smith, who with Mark Gethin in Spirit has created a dark,
grungy club for the sisters to launch their new heavy sound. Russ
Shaw conformed it in Fire, to give the perfect finish.” |
